What to record from an AI answer
A screenshot is not a record.
If you only save a screenshot, you cannot later say what was asked, which tool answered, or whether the verified site was cited. The capture is the evidence. A caption written afterward is not.
A usable record includes the date, the exact question, the product or model if shown, the answer text, and whether the verified website appeared as a citation — not only whether the business name was mentioned. Mention and citation are separate. Failed or refused captures belong in the same log.
